Light Brahmas are exceptionally quiet, gentle, and easy to handle. Their small pea comb, great size, and heavy feathering make them cold weather hardy. Hens lay a large brown egg and are good winter egg layers. A hen will produce 3–4 eggs per week they prefer to lay from October to May, just when your other chicken breeds begin shutting down for winter.
